About the Journal

Rizq: Journal of Islamic Economics and Finance is a peer-reviewed scientific journal dedicated to advancing scholarly discourse in Islamic economics and finance, with a distinctive focus on the concept of rizq – sustenance that is lawful, blessed, and just. The journal publishes original research, conceptual papers, systematic literature reviews, and case studies that critically examine economic and financial systems through the lens of Sharia principles, maslahah (public interest), and distributive justice. Unlike conventional journals that treat Islamic finance merely as a Sharia-compliant alternative, Rizq emphasizes ethical values such as risk-sharing over risk-transfer, real economic activity over financial engineering, and human flourishing over mere profit maximization.

Rizq: Journal of Islamic Economics and Finance is published twice a year, specifically in June and December. Each issue contains approximately 6-12 articles that have undergone a rigorous double-blind peer review process in accordance with COPE (Committee on Publication Ethics) guidelines. The journal welcomes contributions from academics, practitioners, and policymakers worldwide, covering both theoretical and empirical studies.
